2024: A Year Marked by Success and the Loss of a Legend
As 2024 draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on what has been our most successful year yet. This year, we had the privilege of helping more people settle into their new lives, whether by finding their dream home or achieving great sales success for those moving forward. With an abundance of listings and rentals under our care, we’ve grown not only in the size of our portfolio but also in the strength of our team.
Yet, amidst this success, we find ourselves carrying a profound loss. On Thursday, December 19th, we said goodbye to a cherished colleague and mentor, Laurie Ryan.
Laurie was larger than life, a one-of-a-kind character whose influence on our team is immeasurable. His gruff yet joyous personality brought humour and warmth to every room, and his loyalty to those lucky enough to be in his circle was a gift we will always treasure.
Laurie’s lessons were many: resilience in the face of challenges, the importance of embracing our unique differences, and the reminder that the fundamentals of real estate—and life—never truly change. His candid honesty and knack for saying things exactly as they were made him both our mentor and our guardian.
Though our workplace will never be the same without him, Laurie’s spirit will continue to guide us. His “Laurie-isms” will be a source of strength as we navigate the year ahead, always striving to honour his legacy.
Looking forward to 2025, we carry hope and determination in our hearts. While the void Laurie leaves is undeniable, we step into the new year with optimism, knowing he will be watching over us. We are excited to share a sneak peek of what’s to come—a selection of stunning properties with some ready for their first open houses on 11th January.
